Maurice, was the founding member of S.W.I.F.T.
Many years ago, Maurice, noticed the ‘Hot-Seats’ in a 12 Step program for ex-convicts that he helped run back in the early 1980’s was neither supportive nor confidential-he took steps to create a new one. This is how S.W.I.F.T. was evolved. Maurice, also became the director of Glendowynnne House, a group home for incarcerated youth, and served/helped many youth to move beyond the stories that led them there. He established S.W.I.F.T. and it grew to him running 4 out of the 5 groups across the GTA we had going at the time. We intend to continue this grass roots organization that he started, so his legacy will live on. Maurice’s love, care, compassion, no-nonsense ‘swift-kick’-positive & encouraging feedback and dedication to helping others over the last quarter of a century that has helped hundreds who’ve come for help will be sorely missed.
